IES 2025 Young Statisticians Award – Winners
The IES 2025 Young Statisticians Award, promoted by the SVQS Working Group of the Italian Statistical Society as part of the Innovation and Society 2025 Conference (Bressanone, 25–27 June 2025), has been awarded to:
- Elena Barzizza
- Alessandro Fanesi
- Alessandro Albano
The winners were selected through a two-stage evaluation process based on scientific merit and presentation quality. Each recipient received a book voucher and a certificate of merit.

IMPORTANT TO NOTICE: as 36 nominations have been submitted and some presentations will held in the afternoon of the last day of the Conference, the winners of the Awards will be published here by the first week of July 2025.
The Statistics for the Evaluation and Quality of Services Group (SVQS) of the Italian Statistical Society has established the IES 2025 Young Statisticians Award to celebrate the innovative contributions of young statisticians. The IES 2025 Young Statisticians Award includes a book voucher and a certificate of merit, honoring the outstanding work of young researchers in the field.
To be eligible for this award, candidates must:
• Submit their application as authors or co-authors of a short paper for the IES 2025 Conference, following the Call for Papers deadlines.
• Present their contribution as a speaker in one of the Conference sessions.
• Be under the age of 35 at the date of the early bird registration.
We encourage all eligible participants to take advantage of this chance to shine at IES 2025 by filling out the form by April 30, 2025.
