ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
IES 2025 – Statistical Methods for Evaluation and Quality is the 12th Scientific Meeting of the Statistics for the Evaluation and Quality of Services Group of the Italian Statistical Society (SVQS). IES 2025 is sponsored by the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) and will take place on June 25-27, 2025 at the Bressanone-Brixen campus of the University of Padua.
This meeting aims at promoting and coordinating the methodological and applied research related to the statistical evaluation of both private and public services. Contributions on the development of innovative statistical methodologies as well as empirical applications are welcome. The subject-matter of the contributions cover the following areas (but not limited to):

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- [17/11/25] For all journals, the review and acceptance process for IES 2025 Special Issues has already started and will proceed continuously as submissions arrive. Some papers have already been accepted and, in some journals, published online first. We encourage you to submit early and not wait until the deadline, because each special issue can only accept a given number of manuscripts. The new deadlines for the IES2025 associated Special Issues are:
- Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry – 30 April 2026
- Statistical Papers – 30 April 2026
- Quality and Quantity – 1 January 2026
- Communications in Statistics: Case Studies, Data Analysis and Applications – 30 April 2026

- [30/06/25] IES 2025 Young Statisticians Award – Winners, The IES 2025 Young Statisticians Award, promoted by the SVQS Working Group of the Italian Statistical Society as part of the Innovation and Society 2025 Conference (Bressanone, 25–27 June 2025), has been awarded to (1) Elena Barzizza, (2) Alessandro Fanesi, (3) Alessandro Albano. The winners were selected through a two-stage evaluation process based on scientific merit and presentation quality. Each recipient received a book voucher and a certificate of merit. Congratulations to all awardees!
